Big Moments on Campus

"When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find that it is bound fast by a thousand invisible cords that cannot be broken, to everything in the universe," wrote renowned naturalist and explorer John Muir x1863. But let's give it a try anyway as we look at key moments in campus history.

Wisconsin in the World

"I shall never be content until the beneficent influence of the University reaches every home in the state," said UW President Charles Van Hise in 1904. He'd be happy to know just how far our reach has extended.
